Bamboo Dressing Table with Reeded Drawers in Red Oak

A bamboo dressing table which would also work well as a writing desk. A shallow drawer in the centre of the table is ideal for make-up, papers and more. Four deeper side drawers offer useful storage. Each drawer and the facade of the table has a reeded front. Bamboo legs surround the drawers and the design features an optional lip to neatly prevent items from rolling off. 

The components are hand-turned on a traditional wood lathe, simultaneously spinning and shaping. Through careful use of a chisel, the bamboo stems and nodes are formed, with a subtle irregularity. Each piece is unique and celebrates the individual grain patterns found in the timber.
