After training at the Building Crafts College, Alfred worked for Plain English Design while setting up his own practice in London and East Sussex.
His focus is on the qualities of utilitarian design and proportion, with functionality at the core. He is inspired by historic vernacular furniture and its place within contemporary interiors. Alfred works collaboratively with clients from early site meetings until the final install.
Each piece is made in our workshop using sustainably sourced materials and traditional methods and processes. Our team prides itself on our fine attention to detail. Visits to our workshop in the historic village of Alfriston are welcomed.
Alfred is a Brother of The Art Workers’ Guild.
